I didn’t like feeling numb on antidepressants. Microdosing has lifted me out of the dark abyss. I haven’t had any issues with mushrooms. They have really just made me feel lighter and inspired to do things, accomplish things and made me want to be around people again.

I did a medium dose and had a beautiful experience. I heard of the possible benefits and wanted to feel the effects of a microdose.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT PROTOCOL?
When on a protocol, usually I microdose in the morning and then take two days off. I do that for 10 cycles/a month. Take a week off then I intuitively gravitate to it once or twice that month, or continue the protocol. Cycle through until a week off again and do it a third time if need be. I don’t normally do more than three months in a row. Give my brain time to adjust also with 2 x / year macrodose journey.

The ah ha moments click into place more. What’s profound is the medicine itself – still feeling the energy of the medicine even at a low dose, and actually feeling the brain rewire with mild headaches.

Don’t stay too long on a protocol or be rigid with a dosing schedule. I trust myself and my inner guidance and further I trust when I feel called to dose.

My advice is to connect with the medicine and infuse an intention, gratitude, a prayer, a blessing, etc. Hold it to your heart and receive it with an open heart (ingest it). Pay attention by being very present; notice what shows up that day, the next or the one after in regards to the infusion.

Cannabis became not enough as an anti anxiety medicine. As someone who has had expierence that have lead them to have a naturally higher tolerance to cannabis, I started to really struggle with my PTSD. Eventually that lead me down the rabbit hole of well what’s the next best all natural medicine. Shrooms!
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT PROTOCOL?
I currently microdose 3-5x a week. Most doses are .33gs of a high potency strain. When my PTSD is very awful I with up my dose to .75gs twice a week.

Firstly its allowed me to connect with myself more than I was able too before, it will whether I like it or not force me to face my trauma and past head on, while also gently guiding me through it overtime and being able to basically rewrite portions of my brain that I never thought would heal.
As I’ve procured this medicine for myself and been able to share it with others, it’s made me realize that criminalizing natural medicines is just a work of our society that doesn’t want people to expand their way of thinking.

I have absolutely dosed way too much and immobilized myself for the day. So I would say learning proper dosing was something that took time.

A friend that was doing it and said it changed her life. I researched the subject for about another year before finally trying it.

Basically the Stamet Stack, Monday – Thursday morning in a capsule form. Started off with .25 of golden teachers which didn’t seem like enough. Went up to .38 of PE6 and that seems too much. Planning on going down to .30 of PE6. Also I do a dropper full of lions mane and cordyceps every morning.

At work I feel a lot more focused and productive. When I’m at home I feel more relaxed and at peace. Also after 25+ years of being a smoker I quit cold turkey. I’m not sure if this was the microdose or a tripping session at 3.5 grams that helped or maybe both.

Trying to take bigger doses expecting to see bigger benefits. A big microdose might be good for a Saturday morning relaxing at home but not as good during a sales meeting. Lol.

Microdosing isn’t magic pill that fixes everything. You still need to put in the work to reap the benefits. I feel like mushrooms give you a head start though.

There’s so much information out there that it can be overwhelming. I would start with some simple google searches and YouTube. Paul Stamets has some good information and informative videos on YouTube. Then maybe social media sites like Instagram. I’ve found the Instagram mushroom community to be a very open and helpful.

We need to continue to work on the stigma associated with mushrooms. The government did a great job in the 60s and 70s of demonizing magic mushrooms with false information. If used right mushrooms can open up your mind in ways you couldn’t imagine. I find myself more at one with nature, more loving and forgiving. I’m excited about the prospect of guided trips performed by counselors. I believe this would benefit so many people who are suffering with different mental issues and addiction. I have anger management issues and i was drinking too much. Microdosing helped me control my drinking (now only on weekends) and my reaction to triggers has subsided and dramatically reduced.

I have learned that microdosing is not full proof by itself and I think the hobby of mycology is also helping because it is very therapeutic (like gardening is therapeutic). Also patience. It takes time to notice changes and realize the changes that are happening.

I would start with low expectations and understand the idea is that the doses that seem to be helpful are ones where you don’t feel anything at all.

Podcasts, namely Joe Rogan Experience introduced me to the research of psilocybin on treatment resistant depression. I had tried.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT PROTOCOL?
70-90mg daily until symptoms remain dormant in mornings (roughest part of my day). Introduce off days starting with weekends once symptoms of depression aren’t noticeable. Remain on this schedule for approximately 30 days. Take a break until depression symptoms begin to arise again.
HOW HAS MICRODOSING CHANGED YOUR LIFE? WHAT WAS YOUR MOST PROFOUND REALIZATION?
It’s hard to say how microdoses alone would help if I hadn’t taken many macro doses before this therapeutic regimen. With this in mind, I don’t seem to get any profound realizations from microdosing mushrooms or LSD at the dosage ranges I stay within. The most profound realization is a tough one to pin down because there were so many valuable and life changing realizations I’d experienced during deep trips. My most profound realization early on was a heightened awareness of aspects of my personality and life experiences that had led me into a rotten state of mind. Another profound realization was that fear responses were dominating my psyche. Without that heightened fear response I felt an immense weight lifted from my body and mind. Consumption of cannabis during microdoses isn’t wise in my experience. I’ve had to nap in my car after work a few times because the synergy between psychoactive drugs can be strong. Polydrug regimens, especially with psychoactive compounds, are not my forte for safety reasons. Full stomach dosing often does not yield consistent results in my experience. I opt to take doses on an empty stomach every time, whenever possible. Always grind mushroom fruit bodies into powder instead of taking small chunks from the fruiting bodies as the powdered blend will provide far more consistent potency for you to calibrate to an optimal dosage.

Safety is key! We always hear this from a young age, yet people die every day neglecting safety protocols. Learn from credible sources, THEN explore first hand with powerful medicines. Dose lower than you’d like until you find your sweet spot. An underwhelming microdose is always safer than an overwhelming one. Take your time to dial the dose in, you’ve got plenty of time to get it right.

Communities are everywhere and information is accessible in so many places. Social media outlets are great places to get your foot in the door to communicate with others. Seek out the members experienced in microdosing and ask them questions. Take the source’s credibility into account above all else. Seek out the origins of information heard by members of the community that share it. Source credibility is one of the most important factors to time efficient learning.

In regards to sourcing, there are three main options I would consider: 1. Grow it, or get it grown for you by someone experienced. 2. Music festivals 3. Dark net marketplaces.

Made me feel closest to normal that I think I have ever felt. I mean normal is relative but you know what I mean. I have terrible adhd, ptsd, major depressive disorder and I noticed when taking mushrooms I don’t need adhd meds. I even forget to take them. I am so creative and it motivates me towards talk G action and trying new things.

Make sure you have a steady supply. I had to start growing to ensure I will have them.

You have to play around with the dose and different varieties mean different potencies a mushroom is not like every other mushroom. There are potency differences even within the same varieties with then not having any regulations you really have to be careful with dosing. Also that medications specifically antidepressants can affect your tolerance. Must do your research prior to trying.

My brother was my source but Paul Stamets, Michael Pollan are great resources. Even some discord servers have microdosing channels. So many studies are being published now too.

Just that it’s changed my life. Having medication refractory depression I had resigned to a life of misery and struggle. Since finding mushrooms I am happier, I take initiative to reach goals, I’m much more creative, I can meditate now and I’m more social. At 52 I finally feel like I’m living my life not just tolerating it.
